EXPANDS INTO NEW BUILDING
As a
reflection of the company's steady growth over the past 21
years, SI has moved into their newly constructed 40,000
square foot facility in Simi Valley, California. This
location will house sales, warehousing & manufacturing
operations needed to accommodate the firm's sales, which has
grown to over to 1,000,000 valves annually. It's the
company's third location since its founding in 1982.
According to company president Carlos Cortez, "We've
seen the complexion of the industry change over the years to
where it's now essential to have a broad-based inventory and
the ability to produce custom valves in special runs to meet
niche market demands. SI currently inventories over 4500
part numbers, of which some 3500 are valves. " Cortez added,
"The move has allowed us to increase inventory levels and
provides us with room for expansion. "
SI's product line includes both stainless steel and
titanium valves, guides. seats, retainers, keepers, seals,
valve springs and cups. The company's customer base includes
both high performance and production engine rebuilders, as
well as race teams.
